Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) established in 1974, is the academic wing of the SWRD Bandaranaike National Memorial Foundation a statutory authority established under an Act of Parliament No. 2 of 1975. The Centre focuses on creating awareness among Sri Lankans on international relations and Foreign Policy issues from perspectives of National, Regional and Developing Countries. The Centre has accreditation, to Johns Hopkins University Washington DC, USA, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India, and also joint sponsorship with the United Nations University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica. The Diplomas awarded by the Centre are recognized by the Universities in Sri Lanka and the Centre is also registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission

The Jawaharlal Nehru University Programme
The BCIS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in India for academic and research collaboration. The MOU with the JNU has enabled the BCIS to give on opportunity to Sri Lankan students who seek to follow their higher education in New Delhi, India with a Foreign Nationals Tuition Fee waiver plus all concessions/privileges enjoyed by the Indian students.  The agreement is such that the students from Sri Lanka will be considered as local students and they will only have to bear the expenses of an Indian student.

Centre for Professional Studies is a school of legal studies engaged in conducting Law Entrance Examination Courses in Sinhala and English Mediums for the last 14 years. They have achived a  success rate of over 90 % in last five years.
Course- Law Entrance Course
The Course has been design by panel of experienced Attorneys-at-Law to help those qualify in a to enter Law College, to have a sound background knowledge of the law which will be of emense use both in and out of Law College. Law College Entrance Examination:
The examination conducted by the Council of Legal Education is a highly competitive Examination which is normaly held in September.
